What to expect when going to a dispensary for the first time
One of the most common comments we receive from visitors is that they had no idea what to expect when going to a dispensary for the first time. Here are some tips to make your first visit an enjoyable one.
Simply entering a dispensary for the first time can be an intimidating experience. At Native Sun, we strive to make you feel welcome as soon as you pull into our parking lot. While our doors are required to be locked at all times, our reception staff will buzz you in as soon as you approach the door.
Once you step inside our reception area, you’ll need to show us a valid state or government-issued photo ID – AKA a driver’s license, identification card, or passport. At medical dispensary, you need to provide your state-issued patient identification card as well. There are no exceptions as this is not just a dispensary rule, but a requirement given by the government.
One of our friendly staff members will verify your ID(s) and buzz you into the sales floor to either pick up your online order, or place an order with a Budtender.
Working with a Budtender
If you’re new to cannabis, figuring out which products are right for you can be overwhelming – especially if you’re going to a dispensary for the first time. Our highly-trained and friendly Budtenders are here to help you navigate our extensive menu and find the best products to give you your perfect cannabis experience.
When you enter the dispensary, you’ll be directed to the next available Budtender. This is your time to ask questions, explain what you’re looking to achieve with cannabis, and get recommendations from our team.
We want you to feel happy with your purchase and leave confident in how to consume your products when you get home. We LOVE helping our customers curate their own cannabis experience – so never be afraid to ask as many questions as you want.
Placing your order
Once you decide which cannabis products you’ll be taking home, your Budtender will pick your order and complete the transaction with you. If you’d prefer not to work with a Budtender, you can place your order online ahead of time. If you’ve placed an online order, it will be ready and waiting for you, but you can also still ask questions and make changes to your order if needed.
Unfortunately dispensaries are unable to accept credit cards, so don’t forget your debit card (we have an ATM on site), cash, or CanPay app.
