What are Vape Cartridges?

Vape cartridges, nick-named “carts”, “vapes” and sometimes called “oil cartridges” or “vape pens” (it’s a lotta names, we know) are glass cartridges filled with different types of cannabis oil or concentrate. They’re easy to use, discrete, and totally portable, so they’re loved by beginners and pros alike. Read on to learn more before you buy a THC vape.

There are different types of cannabis vape cartridges for sale, some device-specific (like Pax Pods and Airio Pro carts), but the most common is a 510-threaded cartridge. Other vape cartridges are sold as disposables, which means the battery is already connected and the entire device is disposed of once the cartridge is empty.

What’s in a Vape Cartridge?

A vape cart is filled with either 1 gram or a half gram of cannabis oil. Cannabis oils are usually considered a type of cannabis concentrate – which is exactly what it sounds like: any product derived from cannabis flower that is processed into a concentrated, highly potent form.

There are different types of cannabis oils, most of which are named for the method of extraction used when producing the oil. The most common kinds are CO2, distillate, live resin, full-spectrum, and terpene-infused. While there are differences between the different types, it’s ultimately up to personal preference when it comes to buying a THC vape.

Easy-to-Use

Vape carts are super simple to use and consume, as long as you have the proper device for your cart type. Just attach your cart to its battery and you’re ready to go!

Discrete

Instead of smoking your cannabis, you’re vaporizing it – so instead of smoke, it produces vapor. Typically, the vapor produced is thinner and smells less than smoke. Plus, vape carts are small and easy to use on-the-go or in public without drawing attention. Buy a THC vape if you’re looking for discretion.

Efficient

Because cannabis vape cartridges for sale are filled with potent cannabis oil, it takes a lot less product (and only 10-15 minutes) to start feeling something. Beginners should remember to start low and go slow when vaping for the first time.

How Do You Consume a Vape Cartridge?

In order to vaporize the cannabis oil inside your vape cart, you’ll need a battery. When a vape cartridge and battery are together, they’re often referred to as vape pens. Batteries come in a variety of styles (pen style, palm style, etc.) and contain the heating elements that will vaporize the oil from your cart. All you do is buy your THC vape cartridge, attach your cart to the battery (510-threaded carts screw on, Pax Pods and similar just pop in) and you’re good to go!
